This is "My Story" and I'm Sticking to it :)

.

It all started when I was 21 years old. I was desperate to know the truth, "Is there really a God?" The question nagged at me. If he was real, I knew I was missing something. One day on the way to church I was angry and I cried out, "God, either your're real or you're not --- if you're real, you'd better show yourself to me or I'm gonna quit going to church!" (Well, threatening God is not cool and I wouldn't recommend that kind of prayer, but I know God never turns us away if we are sincerely searching for truth.

Within two weeks He put people in my path that led me to Jesus Christ. It was believing in the scriptures as God's WORD that made all the difference -- you see, I really didn't know much about the Bible at all. I remember they showed me Revelation 3: 20, Jesus said, "Here I am. I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in..."

When I asked Jesus into my heart, I felt 'brand new' inside... I felt peace and joy like I'd never felt before. Next they shared the verses about the Holy Spirit who would give me the power to live for Jesus. I prayed to recieve the baptism of the Holy Spirit that night too.

I felt like a young colt running freely through the pasture... so free!

I felt brand new... I knew Jesus was alive in me and I would never be the same. Since that night, I have had a passion for spreading the Good News about Jesus Christ.

The idea for "A Camel's Story" came to me as I was trying to put together a puppet play for our Christmas program. I decided it would be a silent drama narrated by the main character, my life size camel puppet. I'd never written a story before so I prayed hard and the words came to me almost faster than I could write them down.

Our youth group performed the play and everybody enjoyed it. Later that month I had a dream. The camel's story was a book. I saw the pages turning.. there were large colorful pictures with Bible verses underneath explaining the story (I didn't even know what that would be at the time). The dream was so powerful I knew I had to make it into a book for my children. I began drawing scenes that came to mind as I read 'the camel's story' and complied a very rough book. That's how the first book was born.

I can relate to that stubborn camel very well. But, praise God! He never gives up on me. My dream has literally come true!

I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ and I believe in 'His kind of evolution': 'Changing of the heart -- renewing of the mind'.

I can testify to the life changing power of Jesus Christ and it's my prayer that everyone would experience the love Jesus has for them.

I hope the "Camel's Stories" will reach multitudes of people with this message.

God bless your journey,
